A project carried out in stages. First, a container bridge was designed and executed, followed by the Kishon Bridge on Highway 75/22.
Kishon Bridge - was built for the expansion of Highway 75 and its connection through bridges to the Kishon Road (Route 22) in the area of an existing Container Terminal.
The works include: the construction of two segmental bridges of about 500 m long each over Histadrut Boulevard, over a parallel traffic center, over the railway line to Nahariya and above the entrance road to the Carmel Tunnels, and the construction of a hollow structure to the 120 m long ramp.
The bridges include a lower structure based on deep piles that reach the kurkar layer, piles of concrete, middle and end pillars of reinforced concrete, required paving work, geometric changes at the Kishon junction, an underground drainage line, installation of curbstones and permanent safety rails, development works as required.
The upper structure of the bridges consists of segmental box sections, which are mounted by balanced cantilever method and mounted by means of a Gantry mounting device. Those bridges have special bearings with anchor bolts.
Container Bridge over Highway 22 - The works includes the construction of a 200 m bridge. The bridge consists of a lower structure based on deep piles that reach the kurkar layer, the pile caps, middle pillars and adjustments of reinforced concrete. The upper structure of the bridge consists of segmental box section, which is erected by balanced Cantilever method. As part of the work, the western ramp of the bridge was built, in which a reinforced earth supporting wall was integrated along the entire length and the end of the eastern embankment of the bridge was established within the defined areas of work.
