Rehabilitation Of Eastern Quay Wall At The Haifa Port
The Haifa Port which was first built in 1979 and extended 1994, will be overhauled in a project reconstructing 800 meters of the eastern quay wall, deepening the sea bottom to -17.5 level.
The work consists of dredging the sea bottom to enable the berthing of cargo ships with a displacement of 260,000 tons.
The design includes infrastructure and foundation for 130 ton/m rail for special cranes and a total rail length of 980 meters. The new design will be part of the modern port requirements.
